Endoscopic Surgery

Endoscopic Surgery

Endoscopic surgery, also known as minimally invasive surgery, is a surgical technique that utilizes small incisions and specialized instruments to access and operate on internal organs or structures. Instead of making large incisions, endoscopic surgery involves inserting a thin, flexible tube with a camera (endoscope) and other surgical instruments through small openings in the body, such as natural body orifices or tiny incisions. The procedure typically begins with the administration of anesthesia to ensure the patient's comfort and safety. Through these openings, the surgeon inserts an endoscope, which is a long, thin tube equipped with a camera and light source at its tip.
